Maize grits

Maize grits is used directly for human consumption and as raw material in food-processing, confectionary and brewing industry.

It is produced from chosen species of non-GMO maize with germ and kernel husk previously removed. 

Maize grits is a product of solid consistence, with colour, scent and taste characteristic of the raw material that it is derived from. 

The content of starch in maize grits is around 85% in a dry matter.

For better product conservation, moisture and fat content are below legally established maximal limits.

The content of fat in maize grits for brewing industry purposes is less than 1%, while the extract content in a dry matter is min. 87%.

The granulation of maize grits is 250-1250 microns and it can be adjusted according to the buyer’s demands.

Maize grits is delivered to wholesale and retail stores packed in 500g PVC bags, in transport wrapping material (carton) containing 40 PVC bags and weighing 20kg in total. 

At buyer’s demand, maize grits can be delivered either in 50kg paper bags or in bulk.  

Expiry date for maize grits is 12 months.
